Kalina Marie, a TikTok user from Oregon, recently shared her heartbreak with followers after only five of her 75 invited guests attended her wedding. In a viral TikTok video, Kalina and her husband, Shane, entered their beautifully decorated reception hall with their young son, only to find it nearly empty.
“This is our entrance to our masquerade ball… FIVE PEOPLE SHOWED UP!!!! Like, are you kidding me!?!” Kalina wrote, capturing the bittersweet moment as they walked down the aisle in an almost vacant venue.

After nine years together, Kalina and Shane had envisioned a joyous celebration, meticulously planning every detail and eagerly sending out 100 invitations. But when only five people—including Kalina’s mother—turned up, their dream day took an unexpected turn. Despite waiting over an hour, hoping for late arrivals, the couple faced a largely empty hall.
Kalina admitted feeling disappointed but tried to stay positive. The small group who attended joined them on the dance floor, attempting to make the best of the situation. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed gratitude for her husband, son, and supportive family. “I have my man. My baby. And family that shows up when I need them. And for that, I will be thankful,” she shared.
Kalina’s story resonated widely, sparking an outpouring of support from viewers who related to her experience and praised her resilience.
