Gold prices in Pakistan declined sharply on Thursday following a similar movement in international markets.

The latest decline brought some relief after gold prices had increased significantly a day earlier. Market participants continued to monitor global bullion trends and price movements.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold lost Rs. 3,800 per tola. The price settled at Rs. 453,436 per tola.

The price of 10-gram gold also recorded a noticeable decline. It fell by Rs. 3,257 during Thursday’s trading.

After the latest drop, 10-gram gold settled at Rs. 388,749. The change reflected the broader movement in domestic bullion prices.

The decline came just one day after a strong increase in local gold rates. On Wednesday, gold prices gained Rs. 7,900 per tola.

Following that increase, 24-karat gold closed at Rs. 457,236 per tola. Thursday’s movement reversed part of those previous gains.

The latest Gold Declines were also linked to falling prices in the international market. Global gold prices recorded a significant drop during the session.

International gold lost $38 per ounce on Thursday. It settled at $4,309 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Changes in international gold prices often influence local bullion rates in Pakistan. Dealers and investors closely follow global prices when assessing domestic market trends.

The Pakistani market also recorded a decline in silver prices on Thursday. Silver fell by Rs. 73 per tola.

After the decrease, silver settled at Rs. 6,839 per tola. The movement showed that precious metals faced downward pressure during the session.

The latest Gold Declines highlight the short-term volatility in precious metal prices. Domestic rates can change quickly as international prices move.

Currency movements and developments in global markets can also affect local bullion prices. Traders therefore continue to monitor international market conditions closely.

For buyers, the latest rates provide a different picture from Wednesday’s sharp increase. However, prices remain subject to further changes in the coming sessions.

The APGJSA continues to provide daily bullion rates for the local market. These rates are widely followed by jewelers, traders, and consumers across Pakistan.Market participants will now watch international gold prices for further direction. Any major movement in global bullion rates could affect prices in Pakistan.
