Titanique Brings Celine Dion’s Spirit to the Titanic Tale

Titanic

What if Celine Dion had been on the Titanic? That whimsical premise drives Titanique, a musical now captivating audiences at London’s West End. Featuring Dion’s iconic hits, the production offers a comedic twist on the tragic 1912 disaster.

Blending elements from James Cameron’s 1997 film and pop culture references, Titanique reimagines the story through Dion’s eyes. Lauren Drew stars as Dion, embodying her eccentric charm and powerful voice. “This is a love letter to Celine Dion, celebrating her talent and strength,” Drew shared.

Co-created by Tye Blue, Constantine Rousouli, and Marla Mindelle, the show has earned praise for its humor and creativity. Dion’s team even attended its New York debut and unofficially gave their approval.

The soundtrack features timeless ballads like My Heart Will Go On and All by Myself, ensuring fans a nostalgic experience. While Dion battles stiff-person syndrome, the production honors her enduring legacy.

Titanique runs at the Criterion Theatre until March 2025, with international versions playing in Sydney, Toronto, Montreal, and soon, France.
