Director Yasir Nawaz, celebrated for hit dramas like Chup Raho and films like Wrong No., recently sparked a debate with his comments about actor Feroze Khan. Speaking on Ushna Shah’s talk show After Hours, Yasir claimed he was instrumental in launching Feroze’s career.
Yasir revealed he cast Feroze in the 2014 drama Chup Raho alongside Sajal Aly, despite the actor having no prior experience in acting. “I am the one who gave the world a star,” Yasir stated, asserting his role in Feroze’s rise to fame.

The claim has reignited discussions about the director’s past controversies, including his 2021 criticism of actor Alizeh Shah. Back then, Feroze defended Alizeh, calling out Yasir for publicly belittling a newcomer, which hinted at a strained relationship between the two.
Fans and industry insiders are now debating whether Yasir deserves credit for Feroze’s early success or if the actor’s talent and dedication were the driving forces. So far, Feroze has not responded to Yasir’s recent remarks.
