Zahid Ahmed Issues Public Apology After Controversial “Hell” Remark Sparks Backlash

Pakistani actor Zahid Ahmed has publicly apologized after receiving intense criticism for his recent remarks about content creators. The actor faced backlash after claiming during a podcast that social media creators “will go to hell.”

In a video statement shared on social media, the Zahe Naseeb star admitted his mistake and expressed regret for his words. “I’ll make sure this never happens again,” Zahid Ahmed said, clarifying that his comments were aimed at social media content creators, not all creators in general.

He went on to acknowledge that his remarks were made in anger and without proper reflection. “I feel guilty for labeling them as wrongdoers,” he said. “I crossed my limits emotionally. No one except Almighty God has the right to declare anyone sinful.”

The controversy began after Zahid Ahmed’s appearance on a podcast with fellow actor Ahmed Ali Akbar, where he described social media as “the work of the devil.” He also stated that those who make content for it “will go to hell,” a comment that quickly spread across various platforms.

His statement drew sharp reactions from several influencers, including Adnan Zafar, popularly known as Ken Doll. Zafar accused the actor of hypocrisy and questioned why certain people feel entitled to judge others’ choices. Many social media users also criticized Ahmed for making sweeping religious claims.

Addressing the backlash, the actor said it was his responsibility to correct his mistake, especially since many young followers look up to him for guidance. “It was very important for me to apologize because my words sent the wrong message to many,” he concluded.
