Mehwish Hayat, a prominent actress in film and television, has disclosed that she has declined numerous offers to work in Bollywood movies. Speaking on a podcast, Hayat elaborated on her decision not to pursue opportunities in Bollywood.

“I received many offers from Bollywood, but I turned down all of them,” she stated.

The star of “London Nahi Jaunga” attributed her decision primarily to the abundant opportunities available to her in Pakistan. “I have countless opportunities here in Pakistan. I have been a part of the revival of Pakistani cinema and have worked in some of its biggest and most successful films. I have received immense respect and love in my country,” she expressed gratefully towards her fans for their support and appreciation of her work.

Hayat further explained, “After achieving significant recognition and success in my own country, I felt that I should not accept offers from Bollywood. I enjoy my work here in Pakistan. People come to watch my films with their families, and that is a great achievement.”

Numerous talented Pakistani actors, singers, and artists have ventured into Bollywood over the years, including notable figures like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sajal Ali, and Ali Zafar. Pakistani singers such as Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have also contributed their vocals to popular Bollywood songs.

Mehwish Hayat, known for her successful career in television dramas and films, has received numerous accolades, including the Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress and the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019 for her contributions to the arts.
