Pakistan’s cricket sensation, Babar Azam, often finds himself in the spotlight not just for his exceptional cricketing prowess but also due to ongoing speculations about his marriage plans.

While rumors have circulated in the past regarding Babar’s marital status, none of them materialized into reality. However, his close friend and wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, leading Multan Sultans in the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9, has provided a significant update regarding Babar’s marriage plans in an exclusive conversation with Geo News.

Rizwan disclosed that he was the one who encouraged Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi to consider marriage. He further revealed that Babar Azam is also expected to tie the knot soon.

“Marriage is a divine command, and the bond between husband and wife is sacred,” Rizwan emphasized. He highlighted the positive relationship he shares with Babar, mentioning their late-night discussions and consultations on various aspects of life.

Rizwan also shed light on the emergence of talented cricketers from Multan, stating that the city has now become a hub for producing exceptional cricketing talent, particularly fast bowlers.

Switching gears to the importance of education in conjunction with cricket, Rizwan stressed its significance by citing examples of cricketers like Shan Masood and Mohammad Hafeez, who have excelled both academically and on the cricket field.

While Rizwan admitted that he couldn’t pursue higher education due to his cricketing commitments, he advocated for the integration of sports scholarships into Pakistan’s educational system to encourage young athletes to excel both in sports and academics.
