Naila Kiani, Pakistan’s top female climber, has completed the 8,126-meter Nanga Parbat expedition, making her the first woman from the South Asian country to ascend the world’s ninth-highest mountain.

Naila, a mother of two, conquered the mountain, which is famed for being an exceedingly difficult trip. The westernmost mountain tucked in the Himalayas is notorious for its high number of fatalities and for pushing climbers to their limits.

The feat was announced on social media by a non-profit group that assisted the Dubai-based banker in completing her excursion. “Naila Kiani, a source of pride for Pakistan, has accomplished an incredible feat by successfully reaching the summit of Nanga Parbat,” it stated.This historic achievement fills the nation with pride as Naila becomes the first Pakistani woman to summit the world’s seven tallest peaks.”

The achievement of Naila was described in the article as a source of inspiration and great pride for the organisation.

Earlier, the determined climber expressed her delight at having fulfilled a goal that had been on her bucket list for years.

Samina Baig, Dawa Sherpa, Tamting Sherpa, Tracee Lee Metcalfe, Dawa Gyalje Sherpa, Sashko Kedev, Naoki Ishikawa, Ngima Nuru Sherpa, and Ngim Dorjee Tamang are among the high-altitude mountaineers who completed the Nanga Parbat expedition.

Previously, Naila Kayani conquered the world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest, becoming only the second female climber to do so. During her illustrious career, she conquered several 8000m peaks, including K2 and Gasherburm.

With this accomplishment, the female climber has become the first woman to scale seven peaks higher than 8,000 metres.
