33 Khawarij killed in Zhob as infiltration bid from Afghanistan foiled: ISPR

Pakistani security forces successfully stopped an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Zhob, Balochistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 33 militants from the group Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during the operation.

The infiltration attempt occurred during the night of August 7-8, 2025, near Sambaza in Zhob district. The ISPR stated that the militants were linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij and were trying to cross into Pakistan. Security forces detected the movement of this large group and responded swiftly.

The troops engaged the militants with precise and skillful actions, resulting in the death of 33 terrorists. Along with this, a large amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized from the site. The ISPR also said that sanitization operations were ongoing to ensure no militants remained in the area.

This operation highlights Pakistan’s continued efforts to secure its borders and eliminate threats posed by Indian-backed terrorist groups. The military reaffirmed its commitment to defending the nation’s frontiers and fighting terrorism.

Earlier in June 2025, Pakistani forces also killed seven terrorists belonging to a related group called Fitna al-Hindustan during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan. These successful actions demonstrate ongoing vigilance and cooperation among security agencies.

The 33 Khawarij killed in Zhob marks a significant setback to terrorist infiltration attempts in the region. Security forces remain active to prevent future threats and maintain peace along the border.
