According to ARY News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would fly from France to London on Friday (today) to meet PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
According to PML-N sources, key party officials will also attend the conference through video link.
They stated that the meeting’s attendees would undertake a full consultation on the timing of the next elections, the names of potential caretaker prime ministers, and other issues.
According to insiders, the conference will also examine potential seat modifications with affiliated political groups.
The ECP has accelerated preparations for general elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) began printing postal ballot papers a day earlier in preparation for the general election.
The National Assembly will receive 10,26,000 postal ballots, while the Punjab Assembly will receive 4,45,500 postal ballot papers.
The electoral commission plans to print 1,95,000 postal ballots for the Sindh Assembly, 1,72,500 ballots for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, and 76,500 ballot papers for the Balochistan Assembly.
It should be noted that postal ballots will also be prepared for Pakistan Army troops stationed at national boundaries and government officials stationed away from their homes.
In the fiscal year 2023-24 budget, the federal government has set up Rs 42.4 billion for general elections.
