Pakistan Shaheens will defend their title against India A in the final of the current Emerging Asia Cup 2023 on July 23 at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s all-format skipper, Babar Azam, paid a valuable visit to the Pakistan Shaheens ahead of the blockbuster showdown to inspire confidence and drive in the youthful Pakistani squad.

The Pakistan Shaheens enjoyed a spectacular surprise when the Pakistan national team stars, including Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, welcomed the young guns at the team hotel. To add to the surprise, Babar Azam delivered a unique pep talk ahead of the grand final against arch-rivals.
Using his experience, the all-format captain discussed how to defeat the neighboring country and win the Emerging Asia Cup 2023.
During his lecture, the world number one ODI hitter underlined the importance of playing as a cohesive unit and maintaining a positive mindset, especially under pressure.
“Babar stressed the importance of not allowing the magnitude of the occasion to overwhelm us and instead focusing on our game,” one of the players stated.
