Security Forces Eliminate 15 Terrorists After Deadly Ziarat Attack in Balochistan

QUETTA โ€“ Security forces have killed at least 15 terrorists during a joint clearance operation launched after the deadly Ziarat attack in Balochistan, according to the provincial government.

Officials said the operation targeted terrorists identified by the government as belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK). The action was carried out after the assault in Ziarat district that claimed the lives of several police personnel.

According to the Balochistan government, the operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies. These included the Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan Police, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Operations Wing (SOW), and the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF).

Adviser to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind said the joint operation was successfully completed. He stated that security forces cleared the affected area after engaging the militants.

The Ziarat attack resulted in the martyrdom of nine Balochistan Police officers and personnel. Among those killed were the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mangi Police Station, the SHO of Kawas Police Station, and ATF In-charge Head Constable Saifullah. Several other police officials also lost their lives in the incident.

Shahid Rind said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ghulam Sarwar and eight police personnel safely reached Kach Police Station. He explained that they travelled through difficult mountainous terrain to avoid further danger.

He also confirmed that Constable Rizwan, who had gone missing during the attack, was recovered safely during the clearance operation. Officials said he was found unharmed.

The bodies of the fallen police personnel are being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ziarat. Legal procedures and post-mortem examinations will be completed before burial.

The provincial government paid tribute to the officers who lost their lives. Shahid Rind said their sacrifices would always be remembered and honored.

He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing operations against terrorism. According to him, security forces will continue their efforts until terrorism is completely eliminated.

Rind said the state would respond firmly to every terrorist incident. He added that intelligence-based operations would continue with greater effectiveness to maintain peace and security across the province.

Referring to the Ziarat attack, he stressed that Balochistan would not become a safe haven for terrorists. He said anyone challenging the authority of the state would be brought to justice through lawful action.

The government said security agencies remain committed to protecting citizens and maintaining public order. Authorities also emphasized that coordinated operations would continue to prevent future attacks and strengthen security throughout Balochistan following the Ziarat attack.
