Four Ring Leaders Among 21 Terrorists Killed in KP IBOs: ISPR

Security forces have killed 21 India-backed Fitna al-Khawarij militants in a major operation in North Waziristan. The action took place in the Miran Shah area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 72 hours. Officials confirmed that multiple terrorists were eliminated during intelligence-based operations.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations targeted several hideouts in Miran Shah and surrounding areas. Security forces acted on intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in the region. Heavy exchanges of fire were reported during the engagements.

The military said 21 militants were killed in total. This includes four key ring leaders linked to multiple terrorists networks. The identified leaders were involved in several attacks on security forces and civilians.

Officials named the slain ring leaders as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan. The ISPR stated that these terrorists were highly wanted for serious violent activities. Their elimination is being described as a significant success in ongoing operations.

In a previous operation last week, 27 more India-backed militants were also killed in the same area. With the latest action, the total number of eliminated terrorists in Miran Shah has reached 48. Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the sites.

Authorities said sanitisation operations are still underway. The goal is to clear remaining hideouts and ensure the area is free from terrorists. These operations are part of Pakistanโ€™s wider counter-terrorism campaign under the national strategy.

The military stated that operations will continue with full intensity. Law enforcement agencies are working jointly to eliminate foreign-supported terrorists across the region. Officials stressed that the mission will continue until lasting peace is restored.

Pakistan has recently increased counter-terror efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Intelligence-based operations have been intensified in response to rising militant activity. Several coordinated strikes have also targeted cross-border networks of terrorists.

Officials said precision strikes were carried out along the Afghanistan border earlier as well. These strikes targeted hideouts linked to planners of recent attacks inside Pakistan. Multiple militants were killed in those operations too.

Security sources added that terrorist incidents have increased since recent regional instability. Authorities continue to monitor movement of terrorists across sensitive border areas. Coordination between security agencies remains strong to prevent future attacks.
