A viral notification claiming a major police deployment in Islamabad ahead of PTI’s September 27 march has been declared fake by authorities.
The document has circulated widely on social media in recent days. It allegedly shows a request for thousands of police personnel from three provinces.
According to the viral notification, the federal government had requested 15,000 police personnel from Punjab. It also claimed that 8,000 officers were sought from Sindh. Another 500 personnel were allegedly requested from Balochistan.
The document claimed the personnel would be deployed for security and other duties in Islamabad. It also carried an alleged Cabinet Division notification number. The document was reportedly dated September 12, 2026.
The viral claim further stated that all 23,500 personnel would reach the federal capital by September 20. The large number quickly attracted attention on social media.
Several users linked the alleged deployment to PTI’s planned September 27 march. Others suggested it could be connected with possible security concerns in the capital.
However, the notification has now been rejected by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Officials described the document circulating online as fake.
The ministry also denied that the federal government had formally requested 23,500 additional police personnel from the three provinces.
This means the figures mentioned in the viral notification have not been verified. The claimed September 20 deadline has also not been confirmed as an official government decision.
The circulation of the document created speculation about a possible large-scale security operation. However, authorities have clarified that the notification does not represent a genuine government announcement.
