KARACHI – A 9-year-old girl was killed after a speeding car crashed into a rickshaw on Tariq Road. The incident occurred near Allah Wali Chowrangi.
According to the available details, the rickshaw was parked on the road when the speeding car hit it. The impact left the young girl trapped inside the rickshaw.
Three other people were reportedly travelling in the rickshaw at the time. They managed to jump out after the collision and escaped serious harm.
However, 9-year-old Jannat could not get out of the rickshaw. She died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident has caused grief among the victim’s family and local residents. Jannat’s father expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his daughter.
The grieving father also alleged that the car driver appeared to be under the influence. He appealed to authorities to take action and provide justice.
Police officials said the driver was arrested following the accident. They added that legal proceedings have also been started.

However, investigators reportedly reviewed footage that showed a young man behind the wheel. Police then alleged that the woman had misled investigators.
According to police, the woman also helped the suspected driver leave the scene. The footage became an important part of the investigation.
Both incidents have drawn attention to road safety concerns in Karachi. They also highlight the importance of responsible driving and proper investigation after fatal crashes.
