Air Sial has officially applied for permission to start direct flight operations to the United Kingdom. According to reports, the airline plans to operate routes connecting Pakistan with London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
The move comes shortly after UK authorities lifted a five-year suspension on Pakistani airlines, allowing them to resume services to British destinations. The decision marks a significant step toward rebuilding international confidence in Pakistanβs aviation industry.
Before Air Sialβs application, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue had already received clearance to restart their UK operations. PIA is set to relaunch its services on October 25, beginning with two weekly flights between Islamabad and Manchester. This will be the national carrierβs first flight on the route in nearly four years.
Aviation experts view Air Sialβs plan as a positive sign of growth and competition in Pakistanβs airline sector. The addition of another carrier to UK routes could increase travel options for passengers and help stabilize ticket prices. It would also strengthen business, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries.
Industry sources suggest that Air Sial is finalizing its fleet expansion and regulatory compliance process before launching these routes. The airline aims to meet international safety and service standards, ensuring smooth operations once approval is granted.
The approval for Pakistani carriers to operate flights to the United Kingdom represents renewed trust in the Civil Aviation Authorityβs oversight. It also reflects the countryβs improving aviation standards and growing demand for global connectivity.
If approved, Air Sialβs entry into the UK market would make it the third Pakistani airline to operate there, signaling a new era of competition and growth for Pakistanβs aviation industry.
