Al Baik and Pakistan's GO Company Sign MoU to Explore Expansion in Pakistan

Saudi Ministry of Investment Facilitates Strategic Partnership Aimed at Establishing Al Baik Restaurants in Pakistan, Marking a Key Step in Saudi Vision 2030.

In a significant move aligned with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal to promote the global expansion of Saudi expertise, Al Baik Food Systems Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan’s GO Company to explore potential opportunities for expanding Al Baik’s restaurant chain in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The MoU, facilitated by the Saudi Ministry of Investment, aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two companies, focusing on setting up and operating Al Baik outlets in Pakistan, a move that highlights the company’s broader expansion strategy.

The signing ceremony, held under the patronage of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Engineer Khalid Al-Falih, took place with high-ranking officials from both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in attendance, including the Pakistani Prime Minister. The agreement is the result of ongoing efforts by the Saudi Ministry of Investment to empower national brands to expand internationally and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s economic influence on the global stage.

Speaking at the event, His Excellency Engineer Khalid Al-Falih praised the collaboration, stating that this MoU is not only a reflection of the Kingdom’s economic ambitions under Vision 2030 but also demonstrates a strong commitment to opening new commercial avenues in foreign markets. Al Baik, renowned for its quick-service fried chicken and seafood, has become a beloved brand in Saudi Arabia and beyond, and this expansion into Pakistan marks a significant milestone in its international journey.

Notably, GO Company, which has secured a 40% investment from Saudi Aramco, is a major player in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector. This collaboration between Al Baik and GO Company underscores the Kingdom’s broader strategy to diversify its economy beyond oil and into new sectors such as food and retail. With Saudi Aramco’s involvement, GO Company brings substantial operational expertise and a strong foothold in Pakistan’s business environment, positioning the partnership for success.

This initiative is a clear manifestation of the Saudi Ministry of Investment’s role in driving Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the Kingdom’s global economic presence through strategic partnerships, exports, and business expansions. The Saudi government has placed significant emphasis on empowering Saudi businesses to venture into new international markets, and Al Baik’s expansion into Pakistan marks another step in fulfilling this vision.

Through such initiatives, the Kingdom aims to create a diversified economy that can compete on a global scale. Al Baik’s entry into Pakistan is expected to create new business opportunities and jobs while fostering cultural and economic ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The strategic partnership also reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in key industries abroad, further enhancing the Kingdom’s influence and strengthening bilateral ties with its regional partners.
