Arrest Warrants Reissued for Imaan Mazari, Husband in Controversial Tweet Case

A local court in Islamabad has reissued arrest warrants for human rights lawyer Imaan Mazari and her husband, Shahryar Rind, in connection with a controversial tweet case.

The warrants were reissued after the couple failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons. The case pertains to alleged β€œobjectionable and defamatory” remarks made on social media that authorities claim targeted state institutions.
