FC Deployed in Azad Kashmir Due to Security Concerns

The Pakistani government has deployed the paramilitary Frontier Constabulary (FC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) at the request of AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq.

This decision followed a detailed meeting between the AJK premier and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the region’s law and order situation.

The deployment aims to bolster security efforts in Kashmir. Naqvi assured full support for maintaining peace, while Prime Minister Haq expressed gratitude for the prompt action.

Previously, AJK PM had requested increased funding from the central government to address the sensitive situation in Kashmir, which had seen violent clashes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif allocated Rs 23 billion to address the region’s crises, and PM Haq discussed budget allocations and development projects with Adviser Rana Sanaullah.
