Judicial Commission Probes Death As Mir Raza’s Binance Details Emerge

Judicial Commission Probes Death As Mir Raza’s Binance Details Emerge

Investigators have obtained Binance account details linked to young businessman Mir Raza. The information is part of the ongoing investigation into his killing.

According to reports, Mir Raza opened his Binance account in 2021. Significant cryptocurrency trading activity was recorded through the account.

More than 89 million USDT was reportedly traded through the account. The records also show losses exceeding 34.9 million USDT in futures trading.

Reports indicate that Raza lost more than 139,000 USDT between 2024 and 2026. His trading activity also included major losses shortly before his death.

Around 2 million USDT was reportedly lost on July 22 and 23. The losses occurred only days before Raza was killed.

NCCIA Obtains Cryptocurrency Records

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency had earlier obtained Raza’s cryptocurrency data. Investigators requested records covering a six-month period.

The data was later submitted to the judicial commission. It was provided in a format similar to call detail records.

Police asked the NCCIA to conduct a detailed analysis of the information. Investigators want to establish the number of cryptocurrency transactions made each day.

The analysis could help investigators understand Raza’s trading activity. It may also provide important information about transactions before his death.

Officials are expected to provide the analysis to police shortly. Investigators will then assess the findings as part of the wider probe.

The newly obtained Binance account details could therefore become relevant to the investigation. Authorities are examining financial and digital records alongside other evidence.

Sindh Interior Minister Appears Before Commission

Sindh Interior Minister Zia Lanjar appeared before the judicial commission investigating the case. He also apologised over the conduct of the Sindh Advocate General.

Lanjar assured the commission that the Sindh government would not interfere with its proceedings. He also promised that authorities would not obstruct the investigation.

The minister pledged full cooperation with Mir Raza’s family. The commission is continuing its proceedings to examine different aspects of the case.

The commission also expressed dissatisfaction with Dr Usama’s response to a show-cause notice. It ordered him to appear before the commission in person on September 15.

More Officials Summoned

The commission summoned SHO Adil Afzal and head moharrir Zeeshan. Dr Samia was also called to appear on September 14.

Dr Samia’s statement will be recorded during the next hearing. The proceedings are expected to focus on evidence and statements from relevant officials.

Following the interior minister’s apology, the commission adjourned proceedings. The next hearing is scheduled for September 14.

The investigation continues as authorities examine financial records and other digital evidence. The Binance account details are among the records being reviewed by investigators.

Officials have yet to announce any final conclusions from the cryptocurrency analysis. Further findings are expected as the judicial commission continues its inquiry.
