Members of the Bohra Community celebrated Eidul Adha with religious enthusiasm in Karachi on Friday. Special prayers, gatherings, and sacrificial rituals were held across different areas of the city as the community marked the important Islamic occasion.

According to reports, the main Eid gathering of the Bohra Community took place at Taheri Mosque in Saddar. A large number of worshippers attended the Eid prayers early in the morning. Religious leaders delivered sermons highlighting the values of sacrifice, unity, and obedience associated with Eidul Adha.

During the gathering, special prayers were also offered for the peace, security, prosperity, and development of Pakistan. Participants prayed for stability in the country and well-being for Muslims around the world.

The Bohra Community completed all preparations for Eidul Adha ahead of the celebrations. Markets and homes remained busy in recent days as families arranged sacrificial animals and other Eid-related activities.

Community members began sacrificing animals after offering Eid prayers. The sacrificial rituals will continue during all three days of Eid, following the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Families and volunteers are also expected to distribute meat among relatives, neighbors, and deserving people during the Eid holidays.

Karachi witnessed festive scenes in areas where Bohra families reside. People dressed in traditional clothes and gathered with relatives to celebrate the occasion. Children and elders were also seen participating in Eid activities with excitement and joy.

Eidul Adha is one of the most important Islamic festivals and is observed by Muslims around the world. The occasion commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.

Different Muslim communities sometimes celebrate Eid on separate days depending on moon sighting decisions and religious calendars. The Bohra community traditionally follows its own calendar system for Islamic events and festivals.

Authorities in Karachi maintained security arrangements around mosques and gathering areas to ensure peaceful celebrations. Traffic management and cleanliness measures were also put in place in several parts of the city during the Eid holidays.
