The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to fast-track the development of eight residential sectors in Islamabad, with a focus on ensuring timely delivery of fully developed plots to allottees. Among these, Sector C-14 is receiving particular attention, having generated over Rs12 billion in revenue through the auction of more than 200 one-kanal plots.
In a meeting held on Thursday, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with senior officials and board members, reviewed the progress of various ongoing projects. The Chairman highlighted that 85 percent of road infrastructure and 35 percent of drainage and sewerage systems in Sector C-14 have already been completed. He assured allottees that possession of plots will be handed over before the final installment is due.

Sector I-12 is also nearing completion, with 78 percent of the development work finished. In addition, significant progress has been made in Sectors E-12/2 and E-12/1. Legal and logistical issues related to Built-Up Property (BUP) in Sector E-12 were discussed, and directives were given to resolve these challenges promptly.
Other sectors, including C-15, C-16, C-13, D-13, E-13, and F-13, were also reviewed during the meeting. The Chairman instructed CDA’s Engineering and State Wings to remove obstacles delaying progress and emphasized a comprehensive review of all legal matters related to BUP. He also pledged to visit these sectors personally to ensure swift development.
The initiative is set to address the increasing housing demand in Islamabad while boosting the CDA’s revenue, with each one-kanal plot in Sector C-14 priced at Rs60 million, payable in installments over nine months.
