Lahore and several districts across Punjab are bracing for a shift in weather as cold and cloudy conditions take hold over the region. The Meteorological Department has forecast overcast skies for the next two days, with a drop in temperatures, particularly in Lahore.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature has fallen to 8°C, with the maximum expected to reach 24°C. While the city is expected to remain cloudy, districts like Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Pothohar Division may see light rain. However, the chances of heavy rainfall in Lahore and other districts are minimal, with the overcast weather expected to continue through tomorrow.

This change in weather is offering a welcome break from the winter chill for residents, who are enjoying the cooler, cloudier conditions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) noted that while the cloudy weather will linger, Punjab will continue to experience dry weather, with warm days and cool nights persisting for the next few days.
Across the country, cold and dry conditions are expected in most regions over the next twelve hours. Light rain, wind, or thunderstorms with light snow are forecasted for parts of Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. In major cities, Islamabad and Gilgit reported temperatures as low as 4°C this morning, while Quetta dropped to -2°C.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy skies with light rain and snow are predicted for Srinagar, Leh, and other areas, with temperatures reaching as low as -12°C in Leh.
