Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered immediate action after unrest was reported near Korangi Crossing in Karachi.
Several motorcycles were reportedly set on fire during the incident. Unidentified individuals allegedly created a disturbance in the area.
The incident occurred early in the morning during a strike call by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). Police personnel reached the location after receiving information about the unrest.
Businesses in the area were also closed amid rising tensions. The situation disrupted normal activities around Korangi Crossing.
According to sources, tyres were also burned on roads leading to and from the crossing. The fires affected traffic and movement in the area.
CM Orders Immediate Arrests
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed police to arrest those allegedly involved in setting motorcycles on fire.
He ordered authorities to take action against individuals responsible for creating unrest. The chief minister stressed that public safety must remain a priority.
Murad also instructed the Inspector General of Police to conduct a detailed investigation. He directed the police chief to submit a comprehensive report on the incident.
The chief minister said those attempting to disturb Karachiโs peace would not be allowed to continue such activities. He also ordered police to protect citizens and their property.
