Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is currently on an official visit to the United States, where he met with members of the overseas Pakistani community in Washington, D.C. The Army Chief was warmly received by a large and enthusiastic gathering of expatriates who turned out to welcome him.
During the interaction, overseas Pakistanis commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their valiant performance in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos (Marka-e-Haq), praising their professionalism, bravery, and unwavering commitment to national security.

General Munir lauded the Pakistani diaspora as the “true ambassadors of the nation,” acknowledging their critical role in strengthening Pakistan’s economy through remittances and investments, and in enhancing the country’s global image through achievements in various sectors.
The session also featured an open exchange of views, as community members shared suggestions and concerns. COAS Munir stressed the need for continuous engagement and joint efforts to overcome mutual challenges, and to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s development.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment from both sides to work together toward building a stronger, more resilient, and prosperous Pakistan.
