The situation escalated when the professor allegedly forced the student to call his elder brother during the lecture and order a laptop through an Islamic charity typically reserved for underprivileged individuals. Dr. Chaudhary’s comments were not only directed at the student but also mocked his family’s financial condition, further adding to the humiliation.
The incident was recorded by another student, and the video quickly spread across the internet, igniting widespread anger. Students and social media users condemned the professor’s actions, calling them emotionally damaging and deeply inappropriate.
The student body of COMSATS described the incident as a clear case of abuse of authority, with many expressing concern over the professor’s behavior.
