ISLAMABAD: A sessions court rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s plea to stop criminal proceedings against him in the Toshakhana reference on Friday, setting a May 10 indictment date for the former prime minister.
Additional Meetings Judge Humayun Dilawar read the verdict shortly after it was reserved. After hearing detailed arguments from the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) counsel Advocate Amjad Pervaiz and Imran Khan’s lawyer Khwaja Haris, the sessions court issued its decision.
