Senior Cybercrime Officer Abducted in Islamabad; Police Begin Probe

Islamabad police have launched an investigation after a senior official from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen. The alarming incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of law enforcement officers dealing with Cybercrime cases in the capital.

According to reports, Deputy Director of Cybercrime Muhammad Usman was abducted on the evening of October 14. The incident took place between 7 and 8 p.m. in the parking basement of Zara Heights. Police officials stated that four armed men intercepted Usman’s vehicle and forced him into their own car before escaping the area.

Sources revealed that CCTV footage from the scene shows a white Corolla involved in the abduction. The footage reportedly captures the exact moment when the officer was taken away. Authorities are now analyzing the video to identify the suspects and track their movements.

A case has been registered at Shams Colony Police Station based on a complaint filed by the officer’s wife. Despite initial efforts, police have not yet made any significant progress in locating the abducted officer or apprehending the culprits.
