Judges Targeted: Robbers Raid Civilization in Judicial Colony

PATTOKI: In a shocking breach of security, dacoits broke into the official residences of two civil judges located inside the Judicial Complex Pattoki, looting valuables including laptops, jewelry, and household items, according to a report.

The incident occurred late at night when the intruders allegedly scaled the boundary wall of the complex and forced entry into the homes by breaking the locks. The affected residences belonged to Civil Judge Nagmana Asghar and former Civil Judge Usman Mehmood.

Upon discovering the burglary, staff members immediately informed the local police. Law enforcement teams, including forensic experts, reached the scene and began collecting evidence. The authorities have not yet confirmed the value of the stolen items, but initial reports suggest significant losses.

Police Investigation and Security Concerns

According to sources, police have initiated an inquiry to identify and apprehend the culprits. CCTV footage from the Judicial Complex and surrounding areas is being reviewed to trace the suspects’ movements before and after the break-in.

Officials have expressed concern over the incident, calling it a serious security lapse in an area that is supposed to have round-the-clock surveillance due to its sensitive nature. Additional police personnel have been deployed around the complex to prevent further incidents.

Legal experts and members of the judiciary have reportedly voiced alarm over the occurrence, urging authorities to tighten security at all judicial housing facilities across Punjab.

Separate Road Accident in Okara Leaves Two Dead

In a separate tragic incident, two young men were killed and one sustained serious injuries in a road accident on GT Road near Chungi No. 6, Okara.

According to police and rescue officials, the accident occurred when a speeding mini-truck attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed into a container coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased were identified as Shafiq, son of Ismail, aged 28, and Hamza, son of Waheed, aged 18 — both residents of Kasur. One other passenger suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital by Rescue 1122 personnel.

Rescue officials reported that two ambulances, a motorbike, and a rescue vehicle were dispatched immediately after the crash. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families following necessary medico-legal procedures.

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution, citing over-speeding as a major cause of road accidents on GT Road.
