Dengue Alert Issued as Cases Rise in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Health authorities have issued a Dengue Alert as new cases continue to rise in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Today, Islamabad reported 30 new cases, while Rawalpindi recorded 42 cases, signaling a growing health concern.

Officials are urging residents to take preventive measures immediately. Citizens are advised to pressurize local union councils to conduct dengue spray and fogging operations in their areas. Such measures are vital to reduce mosquito breeding and control the spread of dengue.

Medical experts warn that dengue spreads quickly in urban areas, especially during the rainy season. Early detection and prompt treatment can significantly reduce complications. Hospitals and clinics in both cities are on high alert to manage the increasing number of patients.

Public awareness is equally important. Residents are encouraged to keep their surroundings clean, remove stagnant water, and use mosquito repellents. Regular cleaning of water containers and drains can prevent mosquito larvae from developing.

The health departments of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have intensified surveillance and are conducting awareness campaigns in schools, offices, and residential areas. They also stress reporting any suspected dengue cases to nearby health centers immediately.

The Dengue Alert aims to mobilize communities and authorities to act swiftly. Experts say that proactive measures, combined with public cooperation, can prevent a major outbreak. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines to protect themselves and their families.

With cases rising day by day, immediate action is critical. Regular fogging, community engagement, and adherence to preventive measures remain the most effective strategies to control dengue in both cities.
