Health authorities reported that around 38 laboratories in Karachi are active for dengue testing, while 19 laboratories operate in Hyderabad. Over the past 24 hours, 4,598 dengue tests were conducted across the province. Of these, 828 tests returned positive, highlighting the increasing prevalence of the mosquito-borne illness.
The DG Health Sindh emphasized that the situation remains critical and urged residents to take preventive measures. Authorities continue to monitor hospitals and laboratories closely to manage the rising number of dengue cases.
Officials also stressed the importance of removing stagnant water around homes and workplaces to reduce mosquito breeding. The health department continues awareness campaigns to educate the public about dengue symptoms and early treatment.
With the ongoing rise in cases, hospitals are on high alert, and additional resources are being mobilized to ensure patients receive timely care. Citizens are advised to seek immediate medical attention if dengue symptoms, such as high fever, body pain, or rashes, appear.
The Sindh government continues to coordinate with both public and private hospitals to manage the dengue outbreak and prevent further fatalities in Karachi and Hyderabad.
