ISLAMABAD — In a shocking development in the ongoing Ducky Bhai betting case, the Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Muhammad Usman, has mysteriously gone missing, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) was informed on Friday.
During a hearing of a petition filed by Rozina Usman, the wife of the missing officer, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan learned that Muhammad Usman was allegedly abducted by four armed men on October 14. Shockingly, Rozina Usman also went missing shortly after filing the petition seeking her husband’s recovery.
Advocate Raja Rizwan Abbasi represented Rozina in court and highlighted the seriousness of the disappearances. DSP Legal Sajid Cheema told the court that other investigators working on the Ducky Bhai betting case have also gone missing, raising concerns about interference in the high-profile probe.
The court directed police to recover Deputy Director Muhammad Usman within a week and ordered investigators to examine his WhatsApp data for potential leads. DSP Cheema confirmed that the SSP Investigation was personally supervising the case to ensure swift action.
The NCCIA officer had been leading the investigation into illegal betting activities linked to Ducky Bhai, a popular online content creator. The case was initially being investigated in Lahore, but the recent abductions have stalled progress.
Police stated that Rozina Usman was last traced between Lahore and Islamabad on October 18. Her last known residence on Empress Road, Lahore, was found locked, and her children were also missing. It was revealed that she had received threatening calls before her disappearance, warning her to withdraw the petition.
DSP Cheema added that CCTV footage from Islamabad’s F-6 sector was being reviewed, and access to WhatsApp data could provide crucial evidence. Lawyer Abbasi stressed that a man had been abducted from the federal capital, and ten days had passed without recovery, underlining the urgency of the matter.

The IHC granted police one week to recover the missing officers and adjourned the hearing until October 31. The disappearances have raised serious concerns over security and obstruction in the Ducky Bhai betting investigation.
