Earthquake Shakes Swat And Other KP Regions

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Swat district and other areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the tremors originated at a depth of 188 kilometers, with the epicenter located in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region. People evacuated their homes in fear, but no damage has been reported.

Earlier this week, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit Karachi, Pakistan’s southern port city, on Monday. The epicenter was 15 km northeast of Karachi at a depth of 22 kilometers.

Tremors were felt in various areas, including Landhi, Korangi, Clifton, DHA Phase II, Old City area, and II Chundrigar Road.
