According to Habibullah Abbasi, Director of Public Relations at the Iranian President’s Office, the visit recognizes Pakistan’s role in supporting mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington. He said the visit also aims to express appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During his stay, President Pezeshkian is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The discussions will focus on strengthening relations between Pakistan and Iran.
The meetings are also expected to cover regional issues and ongoing diplomatic developments. Pakistan has been involved in supporting dialogue efforts between Iran and the United States, along with Qatar.
