Fake CCD Deputy Director Arrested in Lahore for Impersonating Senior Official

Police in Lahore have arrested a man accused of posing as a senior official of the Crime Control Department (CCD). Authorities recovered several suspicious items from his possession during the operation.

According to reports, the arrest was made on Wednesday after police received credible information about the suspect’s activities. A team from Rangpura Police conducted a raid and detained the individual.

Officials said the accused was allegedly presenting himself as a deputy director of the CCD. During the search, police recovered identification cards belonging to different departments, government vehicle number plates, and an electric shock device.

Investigators believe the suspect used these items to create the impression that he was a government official. The recovered materials have been taken into custody for further examination.

Police officials stated that the accused also used flashlights and official-style block papers in his vehicle. These items reportedly helped him maintain the appearance of being connected to a government department.

The incident has raised concerns about the misuse of official identities and government-related materials. Law enforcement agencies are now investigating whether the suspect was involved in any illegal activities while impersonating a CCD officer.

Authorities have not yet disclosed how long the accused had been posing as a government official. They are also examining whether he acted alone or had assistance from others.

Following the arrest, the suspect was shifted to Harbanspura Police Station for further investigation. Police have begun questioning him to determine the purpose behind the fake identity and the use of official-looking documents.

Officials are also trying to establish whether the recovered government number plates were genuine or counterfeit. The origin of the departmental cards and other items is being verified as part of the inquiry.

The case highlights the importance of verifying official credentials and reporting suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities. Police have urged citizens to remain cautious and inform authorities if they encounter individuals falsely claiming to hold government positions.

The CCD impersonation case remains under investigation, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings. Authorities said additional details will be shared once the inquiry progresses.
