Tensions within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) surfaced dramatically when a heated argument between two prominent party leaders, Fawad Chaudhry and Shoaib Shaheen, turned into a physical altercation outside Adiala Jail. The confrontation, which quickly escalated, resulted in a slap and injury, leaving party insiders concerned about growing internal rifts.
According to sources, the argument began as a verbal spat but intensified when Fawad Chaudhry allegedly slapped Shoaib Shaheen, causing him to fall to the ground. Witnesses at the scene reported that harsh words were exchanged, with Fawad Chaudhry accusing Shoaib Shaheen of being a “tout.” In response, Shaheen sharply retorted, telling Chaudhry to “mind your own business,” further fueling the tension.

The situation deteriorated to the point where jail staff stationed at Gate No. 5 had to step in and separate the two leaders to prevent the altercation from escalating further. Fawad Chaudhry then proceeded inside Adiala Jail, while Shoaib Shaheen, who sustained an arm injury from the fall, was attended to by on-site personnel.
This public incident has drawn attention to internal discord within the PTI, raising concerns about the party’s unity. With tensions running high among its leadership, the altercation has sparked renewed discussions about underlying divisions in the party.
The physical confrontation between these senior PTI figures outside such a high-profile location as Adiala Jail has added to the controversy, bringing the party’s internal strife to the forefront.
