The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has extended the registration deadline for HSSC students. Affiliated institutions can now submit Registration Returns until October 30, 2026. The extension applies to all affiliated institutions under the Federal Board. The decision was made after institutions requested additional time to complete the registration process.
The extension also followed the special intervention of Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. Officials considered difficulties faced by institutions in different regions. Several institutions in Azad Jammu and Kashmir faced challenges completing the process. Other institutions also reported difficulties before the earlier deadline.
The revised deadline is intended to provide relief to institutions and students. They will now have additional time to complete all required registration formalities. Under the new schedule, Registration Returns can be submitted until October 30, 2026. Institutions can submit the returns with the normal registration fee.
FBISE is issuing a revised notification regarding the extended deadline. The notification will be shared with all affiliated institutions. Heads of institutions have been advised to use the additional time effectively. They must ensure that Registration Returns for all eligible students are submitted within the revised timeframe.
Institutions have also been directed to carefully check the information provided in their returns. All details should be complete and accurate. The information must also comply with the rules and requirements of the Federal Board. Institutions are responsible for ensuring that the submitted records meet the required standards.
The FBISE has further advised institutions to follow its earlier registration notification. The notification contains guidance about the registration process and eligibility requirements. Institutions can refer to the previous notification for details about related procedures. This will help them complete the registration process according to the applicable rules.
The extension is expected to help institutions that were unable to finish registration on time. It will also give eligible students additional support during the process. Officials have asked all concerned institutions to take note of the revised deadline. They have been advised to avoid delays and complete the process before October 30.
