Firing At Karachi’s Ocean Mall Leaves FBR inspector injured After Dispute Escalates

A senior Federal Board of Revenue officer was wounded in a firing incident in Karachi. The inspector injured case has raised serious concerns about public safety and road disputes turning violent.

The incident took place near Ocean Shopping Mall in Clifton. According to initial reports, a minor vehicle collision led to a heated argument. The situation quickly escalated and resulted in gunfire.

The inspector injured, identified as Shamsher Lashari, was shot during the altercation. He serves as an inspector in the Federal Board of Revenue. He was immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital for emergency treatment.

Police officials confirmed that the shooting was triggered by a personal dispute. The suspect has been identified as Agha Shahmir. He is reportedly the son of a retired police officer, Agha Asghar Pathan.

Authorities stated that both the suspect and the inspector injured in the incident belong to Shikarpur. The connection between the individuals is being examined as part of the investigation.

Law enforcement agencies have registered a formal case. Police teams are conducting raids to arrest the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident.

Officials said the inspector injured incident appears to have originated from a sudden escalation of anger following a minor collision. Investigators are collecting evidence and reviewing nearby CCTV footage.

In a separate but unrelated incident in Korangi Industrial Area, another shooting was reported near Rashidia Mosque. A 45-year-old man, Chacho Mal, was also injured and taken to Jinnah Hospital.

Police confirmed that investigations into the Korangi incident are still ongoing. No clear motive has been established so far.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid taking the law into their own hands. They emphasized the importance of resolving disputes through legal and peaceful means.

The inspector injured case has highlighted growing concerns over rising street violence in urban areas. Officials say strict action will be taken against those involved.

Police continue their search for the suspect, while both incidents remain under active investigation. Further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.
