The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal housing schemes by demolishing unauthorized constructions and sealing multiple on-site sale offices. The latest operation targeted five unapproved colonies located along Narwala Road, Canal Road, and Chak No. 208-RB.
According to an FDA spokesperson, the enforcement action was conducted under the supervision of Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin. The operation team, led by Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa, inspected several housing projects found to be in violation of planning regulations and land-use laws.
During the inspection, officials discovered that many developers were engaged in unlawful extensions and unauthorized development work. The unapproved schemes included Model City-I Extension Block, Model City Executive Block, and Noor Executive Block at Chak No. 208-RB. Similarly, Al-Buraq Valley at Chak No. 214-JB Narwala Road and Al-Noor City at Chak No. 218-JB were also found operating without required permissions.
The FDA crackdown on illegal housing schemes led to the demolition of boundary walls, gates, and other unauthorized structures. In addition, the authority sealed the sales offices of the unapproved colonies to prevent further illegal marketing and sale of plots.
The FDA spokesperson issued a strict warning to developers, urging them to halt all unlawful construction and sales activities immediately. The spokesperson emphasized that any future violations of the Punjab Development of Cities Act and related planning laws would result in severe legal consequences, including criminal proceedings.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the FDA crackdown on illegal housing schemes across Faisalabad to protect citizens from fraudulent real estate projects and ensure proper urban development.
