The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has introduced an artificial intelligence-based system capable of identifying fugitives in real time by reconstructing and updating their appearance digitally.
The development marks a major shift toward technology-driven policing as the agency upgrades its traditional Red Book of most-wanted suspects into a modern digital platform.
FIA Director General Dr. Usman Anwar said the new system uses advanced AI tools to generate updated visual profiles using older photographs of suspects.
Officials explained that the technology can identify individuals even after significant appearance changes, including growing facial hair, shaving heads, or altering physical features.
The modernized Digital Red Book will be accessible online to FIA officials and partially available to the public, containing detailed suspect profiles and identification data.
According to authorities, the database currently lists 143 suspected human traffickers and is expected to strengthen law enforcement efforts against organized crime and human smuggling networks.
