The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is investigating a suspected human trafficking case involving three passengers travelling to Dubai. Officials raised concerns after examining their travel documents and the purpose of their journey.
According to an FIA spokesperson, immigration officials questioned the passengers during a detailed inspection. The inquiry is examining possible human trafficking, the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor, and the involvement of potential facilitators.
During questioning, one daughter, identified as Maira, said she was approximately 16 to 17 years old. She alleged that her parents had overstated her age in her passport and identity documents.
She also claimed that she had been involved in sexual activities at clubs and hotels in the United Arab Emirates. Authorities are investigating these allegations as part of the ongoing case.
FIA Examines Messages and Travel Arrangements
The initial inquiry reportedly uncovered WhatsApp conversations on the mother’s mobile phone. The messages were allegedly exchanged with a person identified as Haris, who investigators suspect may have acted as an agent.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the conversations discussed visa arrangements, airline tickets, and travel expenses. They also reportedly included references to increasing the girls’ monthly earnings to Rs600,000.
The messages contained discussions involving other girls as well. However, officials said these details require further verification and forensic examination.
Investigators are examining whether the communications indicate possible trafficking or exploitation. The findings have not yet established the full circumstances surrounding the alleged activities.
Financial Transactions Under Investigation
The FIA also reported finding information about financial assistance allegedly provided by the suspected agent. Investigators discovered a receipt for a bank transaction worth Rs400,000 on the mother’s mobile phone.
The money was reportedly transferred to an account belonging to the girls’ father, identified as Maqsood Ali.
Officials are investigating the purpose of the transaction and whether it was connected to the suspected activities. The financial evidence remains under examination.
Authorities are also reviewing the alleged agent’s details and the travel agency involved. They are checking travel documents, bank accounts, and digital evidence recovered from mobile phones.
Investigators Examine Possible Involvement of Others
The investigation will seek to determine whether additional girls may have been affected. Officials are also working to establish the roles of the parents, the suspected agent, and any other individuals involved.
The FIA is examining the available evidence before determining the appropriate legal action. Digital communications and financial records are expected to form part of the inquiry.
The case highlights concerns surrounding suspected human trafficking and the possible exploitation of minors through international travel arrangements. However, the allegations remain under investigation, and the evidence must be assessed by the relevant authorities.
Case Referred for Further Investigation
According to the spokesperson, the three passengers are being referred to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC).
The unit will conduct further investigations and arrange forensic analysis of the digital evidence. It will also examine the allegations and determine whether legal action is warranted.
The FIA said its inquiry covers suspected trafficking, possible sexual exploitation of a minor, and the alleged involvement of facilitators.
Further findings are expected to clarify the circumstances of the travel arrangements and the roles of those under investigation. Authorities have not yet announced final conclusions in the case.
