Pakistan To Provide Free Saudi SIM Cards And Mobile Data For Hajj Pilgrims

Pakistan has announced a major facilitation measure for Hajj 2026 pilgrims. All travelers will be provided free Saudi SIM cards to help them stay connected during their pilgrimage.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the initiative includes call minutes and internet data. Officials said the goal is to improve communication support for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Under the standard 40-day Hajj package, pilgrims will receive Saudi SIM cards with 600 local and international minutes. They will also get 40 GB of internet data at no cost.

For pilgrims choosing the short Hajj package, the offer is slightly different. They will receive 300 minutes and 25 GB of internet data through the provided Saudi SIM cards.

Authorities have clarified that these SIM cards are strictly for use during the pilgrimage period. Pilgrims have been advised not to purchase additional SIMs from outside vendors.

Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yusuf said the government is focused on providing maximum facilitation. He also confirmed that Hajj package prices will remain unchanged this year.

He stated that despite rising global costs, including oil prices, there will be no increase in Hajj fares. This decision aims to ease financial pressure on pilgrims.

The government has also finalized agreements with airlines. These arrangements ensure that pilgrims travel according to fixed packages without extra charges.

Officials said the distribution of Saudi SIM cards will be handled in a structured manner before departure. This will help ensure smooth communication for all pilgrims once they arrive in Saudi Arabia.

The first Hajj flight from Pakistan is scheduled for April 18, 2026. Authorities are making final preparations for the departure process.

This year, a total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj. The government has assured full logistical and communication support for all travelers.

The introduction of Saudi SIM cards is part of broader efforts to improve services for pilgrims. Officials believe it will make communication easier and more reliable during the sacred journey.
