A student of the Mass Communication Department at Government College University Faisalabad was found dead in a private hostel near the campus, police confirmed on Monday. The incident has raised serious concerns within the academic community.
According to reports, the student, identified as Amjad, was enrolled in the fourth semester at the university. His body was discovered hanging inside a room at a private hostel located close to the university premises.
Police officials from Jhang Bazaar station reached the scene immediately after receiving the information. The area was secured, and the body was taken into custody for further legal procedures and investigation.
The body was later shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for post-mortem examination and other formalities. Authorities stated that the process is necessary to determine the exact cause of death.
