Pakistan has delivered a significant blow to India’s military prestige by reportedly downing Rafale fighter jets, an act described by The Telegraph as a major shift in regional power and a shock for global defense experts.
The UK-based publication highlighted that Pakistan employed stealth technologies that caught Indian Rafale pilots off guard, offering no indication of danger until the strike occurred.

The article asserts that Pakistan has now established air dominance while undermining India’s confidence in its French-supplied fighter fleet.
While India ramped up its air force capabilities post-Balakot with high-end jet purchases, Pakistan, with China’s backing, quietly advanced its stealth warfare tech, said the report.
The downing of Rafales is seen as a pivotal moment in South Asia’s air combat landscape, showcasing Pakistan’s rising advantage in modern aerial warfare.
Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, had earlier revealed that Indian jets were hit in areas like Akhoor, Ambala, Barnala, and Jammu.
Although India publicly denied any aircraft losses, The Telegraph reported that crash evidence soon emerged on the ground. Reuters also cited local sources confirming that three Indian jets had indeed gone down within Indian-administered Kashmir.
