HEC Launches 24/7 Online Degree Attestation Service — Here’s How To Apply

HEC Launches 24/7 Online Degree Attestation Service — Here’s How To Apply

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has introduced a fully digital Degree Attestation System (DAS) to make document verification easier for students and graduates. The new system allows applicants to apply online without visiting HEC offices.

Under the updated process, all applications for degree attestation can now be submitted through the HEC e-Services portal. Officials say the new paperless system will save time and improve convenience for users across Pakistan.

Students and graduates can apply online 24 hours a day through the official HEC portal. New users must first create an account, while existing users can log in using their registered details.

After logging in, applicants need to select the “Degree Attestation” option from the dashboard menu. They must then enter personal details, including name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, and address.

HEC has advised applicants to ensure that all personal information matches their CNIC and educational documents. Any mismatch may delay the attestation process.

Applicants must also provide complete academic records from Matric to their final degree. This includes degree titles, session details, roll numbers, and affiliated institutions.

Those who wish to apply online for attestation can choose from several document categories. These include degrees, transcripts, provisional certificates, and HEC equivalence letters.

The attestation fee has been fixed at Rs3,000 per document. Once the applicant selects the required documents, the system automatically calculates the total fee.

A consumer number is generated after clicking the payment option. Applicants can then pay through online banking channels using the 1-Link system.

After payment, users must click the “Verify Payment” button. Once verification is complete, the application is automatically submitted to HEC for review.

Applicants are also required to upload scanned copies of their CNIC and educational documents. HEC recommends uploading clear and readable copies to avoid delays.

The commission then checks personal details through NADRA and verifies educational records with the relevant universities. After successful verification, HEC issues an electronic attestation certificate.

Applicants receive confirmation through SMS and email once the process is completed. They can later download the e-Attestation Certificate directly from their online account.

HEC Chairman Niaz Ahmed Akhtar said the new system removes the need for physical visits and submission of original documents. He added that the modern setup aims to improve accessibility for students nationwide.

The launch of the digital attestation service marks a major step in simplifying educational verification procedures in Pakistan.
