After three days of terrible events, the Islamabad Police detained a major suspect in the case of an alleged rape of a woman along hiking route 3 of the capital’s Margalla Hills on Sunday.
On Thursday, the Kohsar police station filed a first information report (FIR) under Section 376 on the rape survivor’s accusation.

According to the FIR, the victim, who was from Muridke, was looking for work when he received a text from someone about two months ago. The man allegedly duped her into accepting a job in the education department in exchange for Rs50,000.
The man then invited her to Rawalpindi for a job interview, and they met at a bus stop there. The man then accompanied the woman to a meeting with a senior officer who will be interviewing job hopefuls.
The guy also led the woman to Margalla Hills’ track 3 and raped her at gunpoint, according to the report. He later threatened to murder her if she told anybody about the incident.
According to the FIR, she was taken to Polyclinic with a female cop for a medical examination.
