The family of Hina Javed has rejected another police investigation into her alleged murder in Rawalpindi. Her relatives continue to demand a judicial commission to examine the case.

Hina’s brother, Fahad Javed, has written to the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior. In his letter, he repeated the family’s demand for an independent judicial inquiry.

The Ministry of Interior had suggested transferring the investigation to another district. Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Saif Ullah contacted the family.

He advised them to submit a formal application requesting a fresh investigation. However, the family has maintained its position and continues to seek a judicial commission.

According to legal provisions, an investigation can only be transferred once or twice. Repeated changes to investigation teams can create difficulties for legal proceedings.

A high-level legal team is reportedly reviewing the family’s latest demands. The matter remains under consideration as relatives continue seeking accountability.

Family Seeks Transparent Investigation

The family has also raised concerns about the alleged involvement of Hina’s father-in-law. Relatives have demanded his immediate arrest and a detailed investigation into his possible role.

They have urged Punjab Police and relevant authorities to ensure an impartial investigation. The family wants the case handled without pressure, influence, or unnecessary delays.

In its statement, the family called for accountability for everyone found involved. It said anyone who allegedly participated in or concealed the crime should face legal action.

Husband and Domestic Worker Arrested

Earlier, police arrested Faisal Asghar, Hina’s husband, in connection with her alleged murder. Authorities also arrested a domestic worker identified as Zeeshan.

The incident occurred at Askari Apartments in Lalkurti, Rawalpindi. The property falls within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station.

According to the FIR filed by Hina’s brother, her body was discovered inside the bathroom. The complaint alleged that her hands were tied and a wire was around her neck.

The FIR also accused the named suspects of subjecting Hina to severe torture before her death. These allegations have yet to be established through a court verdict.

Hina’s family has also raised suspicion that she may have received a poisonous substance. Her brother alleged that the incident was presented as a suicide.

Family Raises Further Allegations

Hina’s brother told police that he received an emergency call from Asghar Fayyaz. He then went to the residence with his father-in-law, Major (retd.) Chan Zeb.

According to his statement, they discovered Hina’s body after arriving at the house. The FIR named her husband, father-in-law, and domestic worker in connection with the alleged killing.

The complaint also referred to previous allegations of mistreatment involving Faisal. It claimed his first marriage ended after allegations of domestic violence.

Hina married Faisal in November 2025. He is the son of retired Colonel Asghar Ali Fayyaz.

Police have confirmed collecting evidence from the crime scene. Investigators are examining different aspects of the case.

Meanwhile, Hina Javed’s family continues to seek a judicial commission and the arrest of her father-in-law. Relatives say a transparent investigation is necessary to establish the facts and ensure justice.

The family’s demand for an independent inquiry remains central to the ongoing case. Hina Javed’s alleged murder continues to raise questions about accountability and the investigation process.
