The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a power suspension schedule for Sunday. The planned outages will affect several areas across its service region.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the interruptions are linked to maintenance and routine development work. Power supply will remain suspended at different times in various areas.
In Attock Circle, electricity will remain unavailable from 5 a.m. to noon. The affected areas include the Industrial Estate Bahtar and Hussain Abad feeders.
Consumers in these areas have been advised to plan their activities accordingly. The outage is expected to continue for several hours.
In Chakwal Circle, power supply will also be suspended during the morning hours. The outage will continue from 6 a.m. to noon.
The affected feeders include Mureed, Jamal Wal and Mengan. Residents and businesses connected to these feeders may experience a temporary disruption.
Several power lines in the GSO Circle will also undergo maintenance work. The timing of these interruptions will vary across different lines.
Power will remain suspended from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. on the 132kV Circuit Breaker ISD 5. The work will affect the 132kV Zero Point-I-8 circuit.
Another suspension is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The affected lines include the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines.
Power supply will also remain suspended from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on two other lines. These include the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines.
The planned work will also involve related earth switches and surrounding areas. Consumers connected to these networks may face temporary power interruptions.
IESCO said the suspension is necessary to complete maintenance and development activities. The company did not indicate any permanent disruption to the affected areas.
The power utility apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the scheduled outages. It also assured customers that electricity would be restored earlier if the work ends ahead of schedule.
Consumers in affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions before the scheduled outages begin. The IESCO schedule aims to inform customers about the expected interruptions.
