Pakistan’s former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has undergone another medical procedure as he received his fifth Eye Injection for an ongoing eye condition at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.
According to medical details, the 74-year-old politician was brought from Adiala Jail to the hospital during the night for a scheduled follow-up treatment. Doctors carried out a full examination before proceeding with the procedure.
Medical specialists confirmed that Imran Khan was in stable condition throughout the visit. The fifth Eye Injection was administered after advanced scans showed encouraging signs of improvement in his eye health.
Hospital sources said ophthalmology experts conducted Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging to assess his progress. The results reportedly indicated positive development since his previous treatments.
After completing standard medical protocols, doctors obtained informed consent before beginning the procedure. The fifth Eye Injection was then administered under microscopic surgical guidance inside a fully monitored operating theatre.
The treatment was carried out as a day-care procedure. This meant there was no need for an overnight hospital stay. Medical staff monitored his condition before, during, and after the intervention.
Officials stated that Imran Khan remained vitally stable throughout the process. He was discharged on the same day after receiving medical advice and post-treatment instructions.
Following the procedure, he was transported back to Adiala Jail. Doctors also advised him about future follow-up visits and recovery measures.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan later confirmed the hospital visit. He said Imran Khan was taken to PIMS during the night and returned after the treatment was completed.
He also mentioned that party leaders were informed about a subsequent medical check-up conducted earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders have demanded that Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for future treatment. They have also called for family members to be granted access to meet him.
The fifth Eye Injection has once again brought attention to ongoing concerns regarding his health and custodial medical care. Political discussions surrounding his treatment continue to grow.
Supporters and party officials are closely monitoring his condition as doctors continue his recovery plan. Authorities have yet to comment on any changes regarding future medical arrangements.
