Imran Khan Willing to Talk for Pakistan’s Future, Says Aleema Khan

Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has stated that her brother is open to dialogue with the establishment, emphasizing it is a matter of national interest, not personal benefit. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, she dismissed reports of ongoing backchannel negotiations, saying no official has approached Imran Khan, and such claims are being used to distract from pressing issues.

Aleema also voiced concern over Imran Khan’s treatment in prison, alleging he is kept in isolation and denied basic rights despite court orders. “He has no access to books, no meetings with family, and even court-ordered visitations are being blocked,” she said, adding that during a recent court hearing, they waited for hours but were denied entry.

The PTI founder, according to Aleema, is deeply worried about the country’s political and economic turmoil, as well as security threats from neighboring India. She quoted him warning that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi might attempt “some mischief,” particularly in Balochistan, and stressed that unity among national institutions is urgently needed.

Echoing this sentiment, PTI senior leader Salman Akram Raja confirmed that Imran Khan believes talks are essential for national reconciliation. Addressing the media outside the Supreme Court, he criticized the manipulation of judicial and electoral systems, stating that excluding Pakistan’s largest political force will only deepen the crisis.

Both leaders stressed that dialogue, not division, is the only path forward. “The founder is ready for talks not for personal relief, but because Pakistan cannot afford further instability,” Aleema said.
